Gems from My Clients: Wisdom pours out of everyone!

Gems from My Clients: Wisdom pours out of everyone!

Something you may not know about me?  I love collecting jewelry.  The shinier, the more unique, the more quirky and captivating, the more I want it.  In a way, I’m like a dragon, collecting the shiny baubles and rarely if ever wearing them.  Not because I don’t like to wear them, I just like having something that no one else does, and not letting anyone know about it.  Quite the metaphor, right?

Turns out, I’m not the only one to hide treasures.  Only the treasures most of us hide are the gems of wisdom that we consistently return to throughout our lives.  One of these gems came from an ancient woman, my grandmother when I was just a kid.  Not wanting me to stay where I was planted and grown, she told me, “The world is small enough, don’t make ti smaller!”  Sure, it was around my unwillingness to eat jalapeños with my lunch, but it was a treasure that I wouldn’t understand until much much later in life.

Now, because I end up meeting at least 30 to 50 new people a week, gems often come from them and I want to share some of them with you and how they resonated with me.  I’m doing this mainly because this kind of wisdom rocked my world but also because I’m getting used to wearing my jewelry out in the world and I’m finding that others are struck by it as much as I am.  Wisdom pours out everyone, as long as its a message meant for you.

Here’s one that Sharon just shared with me this week – “You can’t say the right thing to the wrong person and you can’t say the wrong thing to the right person!”

Whoa did that slap me across the face with the hand of truth.  Check that out and let me know what you think.  What does it mean to you?  I’ll be sharing more gems of wisdom from my clients in the days to come.  If you have ones of your own, do feel free to share.  I know I’ll appreciate them and others here may enjoy them too.

All my love and blessings to you,

-David
